Le regard f\u00e9minin d'un point du vue Africain - Atelier et discussion<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Thihangwi Ramutsindela<\/a> d\u00e9montre comment le colonialisme et l\u2019apar-theid ont tous deux jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 dans la conception d\u2019id\u00e9ologies sur le continent, mais aussi en contr\u00f4lant le r\u00e9cit de la mani\u00e8re dont l’Afrique et ses habitants \u00e9taient narr\u00e9s et repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cran. Sa r\u00e9flexion se poursuit en pr\u00e9sentant la mani\u00e8re dont l\u2019histoire a tamis\u00e9 la narration traditionnelle africaine, souvent effectu\u00e9 par les femmes, qui liait les communaut\u00e9s \u00e0 la nature. Thihangwi conclut sur le fait que le pouvoir du cin\u00e9ma ne r\u00e9side pas seulement dans sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 revisiter l’histoire, mais aussi par le biais de la narration visuelle, \u00e0 remodeler et \u00e0 reconstruire notre compr\u00e9hension du pass\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Roman Cuilla<\/a> poursuit en d\u00e9finissant et comparant le regard masculin et f\u00e9minin en utilisant des exemples de films tr\u00e8s similaires effectu\u00e9 par les deux sexes. Cuilla met aussi en \u00e9vidence tous les autres regards qui peuvent \u00eatre appliqu\u00e9s au cin\u00e9ma (le regard am\u00e9ricain, le regard h\u00e9t\u00e9rosexuel, etc.) et les r\u00e9percussions qu\u2019ils peuvent avoir dans le cin\u00e9ma et la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Dr. Juliet Karisa<\/a> cl\u00f4ture cette matin\u00e9e sur le regard f\u00e9minin en pr\u00e9sentant son exp\u00e9rience en tant que biologiste marine. Lors d\u2019un projet de restauration de coraux, au large de Mombasa, Dr. Karisa \u00e9tait la seule femme de l\u2019\u00e9quipe scientifique. Elle s\u2019est alors d\u00e9cid\u00e9e de cr\u00e9er une aire marine prot\u00e9g\u00e9e avec une communaut\u00e9 de femmes locales. Elle s\u2019est rapidement rendue compte d\u2019un sabotage: les hommes venaient p\u00eacher de nuit dans cette aire. En s\u2019appuyant sur son histoire personnelle Dr. Karisa met en avant la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019inclure les hommes dans les d\u00e9marches f\u00e9ministes afin qu\u2019ils puissent apporter leur soutien.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Dr. Tess Gridley<\/a> and her team presented the basics of sound and bioacoustics. In an interactive workshop they defined and explained key scientific terminologies and practices, showing their use in science as well as in film. Following this, the workshops focused on the endemic fauna of the Cape, like the Cape dolphin and the humpback whale and its famous songs. The Sea Search team also examined the use of inaccurate natural sounds in natural history films and cinema. The workshops were introduced by 15-minute nature sound listening sessions provided by the Listening Planet Foundation, a non profit organization dedicated to promoting a wider appreciation of the diversity and fragility of planet Earth through sound, founded by renowned audio naturalist Martyn Stewart.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Dans son \u00ab Keynote speech \u00bb, Dr. Paula Kahumbu<\/a> explore le regard Africain et les strat\u00e9gies permettant d\u2019atteindre un public le plus large et vari\u00e9 possible pour les sensibiliser \u00e0 l’environnement. Elle souligne l’impact que peut avoir le format documentaire sur les individus mais aussi sur la politique en s’appuyant sur une campagne qu’elle a men\u00e9 aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de National Geographic ; une s\u00e9rie documentaire, destin\u00e9e aux enfants pour leur faire prendre conscience de la beaut\u00e9, mais aussi fragilit\u00e9 de l\u2019environnement.<\/p>\n

Dr. Kahumbu met en exergue l\u2019impact que les femmes africaines peuvent avoir sur la pr\u00e9servation des esp\u00e8ces en Afrique pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur vision globale et leur capacit\u00e9 de comprendre les situations complexes.<\/p>\n

Larissa Sousa est la directrice associ\u00e9e du secteur de l’\u00e9ducation du Parc National de Gorongosa au Mozambique et fait aussi partie de son \u00e9quipe de communication. Sa pr\u00e9sentation porte sur les efforts de conservation mis en oeuvre par le parc, sur la lutte contre les probl\u00e8mes de braconnage et sur l’importance de la coexistence des communaut\u00e9s vivants dans le parc national avec la faune sauvage. Larissa Sousa travaille sur des projets tels que les \u00ab Clubs de filles \u00bb, dont l\u2019objectif est de maintenir les filles \u00e0 l’\u00e9cole, d’\u00e9viter les mariages pr\u00e9coces et d’am\u00e9liorer leurs comp\u00e9tences de vie afin qu’elles disposent des outils n\u00e9cessaires pour affronter le monde.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Nadine Cloete<\/a> \u00e9tablit les fondations de la narration, en d\u00e9taillant comment fa\u00e7onner un personnage qu\u2019il soit fictif ou inspir\u00e9 d\u2019une histoire r\u00e9elle. Cloete insiste sur la dimension temporelle que chaque personnage doit avoir pour le rendre plus intriguant, plus r\u00e9el. Elle d\u00e9taille aussi la mani\u00e8re dont la cam\u00e9ra doit se mettre au service du sc\u00e9nario, ce qui n\u00e9cessite des recherches et un plan du film pr\u00e9cis.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Onke Dumenko<\/a> et Yolanda Ncokotwana<\/a> \u00e9tablissent les r\u00e8gles d’\u00e9quilibre et de priorit\u00e9s entre famille et carri\u00e8re, encourageant les cin\u00e9astes \u00e0 partager leurs passions et impliquer les leurs dans le processus de r\u00e9alisation. Pour atteindre ses objectifs et ses r\u00eaves il faut les confronter \u00e0 la r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Onke met l\u2019accent sur l\u2019esprit d\u2019\u00e9quipe dans la conception et r\u00e9alisation d\u2019un film ; il faut savoir diviser le travail. Yolanda quant \u00e0 elle insiste sur la confiance en soi, pour atteindre ses objectifs, selon elle il faut d\u2019abord \u00e9chapper au \u00ab syndrome de l\u2019imposteur \u00bb, cette peur de ne pas \u00eatre \u00e0 la hauteur. \u00c0 la recherche de v\u00e9ritables paysages sonores afin de mettre en oeuvre les le\u00e7ons des ateliers de bioacoustique, Sea Search, l\u2019\u00e9quipe de Dr. Tess Gridley, a affr\u00e9t\u00e9 deux navires de 35 personnes pour les emmener au Large de Simon\u2019s Town. Le premier mettait le cap sur une colonie de cormorans. \u00c9quip\u00e9es d\u2019un micro avec un bonnet anti-vent, un casque, une perche et un enregistreur audio, les participantes se sont plong\u00e9es dans le r\u00f4le d\u2019op\u00e9ratrice du son. Le deuxi\u00e8me voyage partait plus loin pour l\u2019\u00eele aux otaries o\u00f9 les participants ont crois\u00e9 une baleine de Bryde et son baleineau.
