Ce domaine de recherche est sous-repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 en Afrique australe et alimente directement l&#8217;\u00e9cologie comportementale et appliqu\u00e9e. J&#8217;ai de l&#8217;exp\u00e9rience dans la direction d&#8217;enqu\u00eates acoustiques et visuelles et dans la recherche ax\u00e9e sur la r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 des questions fondamentales li\u00e9es \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9tat de conservation (c&#8217;est-\u00e0-dire l&#8217;abondance de la population, la distribution, l&#8217;utilisation de l&#8217;habitat et la g\u00e9n\u00e9tique). Les informations g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9es par mes recherches donnent lieu \u00e0 des rapports sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s qui contribuent aux \u00e9valuations d&#8217;impact environnemental et, en fin de compte, \u00e0 la gestion de l&#8217;environnement. Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, j&#8217;ai travaill\u00e9 en Namibie, dans le cadre du projet sur les dauphins de Namibie, o\u00f9 je me suis concentr\u00e9 sur l&#8217;\u00e9cologie et le comportement acoustique des dauphins de Heaviside et des grands dauphins. Suite \u00e0 nos succ\u00e8s en Namibie, nous avons cr\u00e9\u00e9 avec mon partenaire <i>Sea Search research and conservation<\/i> en Afrique du Sud, qui englobe les recherches entreprises en Afrique australe sur la m\u00e9gafaune marine charismatique. <a href=\"https:\/\/seasearch.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/seasearch.co.za\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>En 2018, j&#8217;ai fond\u00e9 la communaut\u00e9 africaine de bioacoustique pour aider \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper des r\u00e9seaux et \u00e0 accro\u00eetre les capacit\u00e9s dans le domaine de la recherche bioacoustique \u00e0 travers le continent . Avec une \u00e9quipe d\u00e9vou\u00e9e de scientifiques en d\u00e9but de carri\u00e8re , nous avons organis\u00e9 trois conf\u00e9rences, ainsi que de multiples activit\u00e9s de communication scientifique et de sensibilisation, telles qu&#8217;une liste de diffusion r\u00e9guli\u00e8re, des conf\u00e9rences publiques et scolaires et des m\u00e9dias en ligne librement accessibles \u00e0 tous .<\/p>\n<p>Je suis \u00e9galement une m\u00e8re qui travaille, conciliant un fort d\u00e9sir d&#8217;apprendre, de nouvelles exp\u00e9riences et de croissance personnelle et professionnelle avec mes besoins et ceux de ma famille grandissante, qui comprend deux jeunes enfants, un chien vieillissant et trois canards adolescents !<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Directrice fondatrice de Sea Search, directrice des op\u00e9rations et scientifique principale Mes int\u00e9r\u00eats de recherche portent principalement sur la communication acoustique chez les c\u00e9tac\u00e9s.
