Rachel Probert is a marine biologist whose research is focused on the acoustic behaviour of marine mammals. She started her career in marine mammal science in 2016 where she completed her BSc Hons at the University of KwaZulu-Natal studying Heaviside’s dolphins. She is currently doing her PhD with Sea Search Research and Conservation and the University of KwaZulu-Natal investigating vocal communication of two species of bottlenose dolphin around southern Africa.
